A. Laubin, Inc. - Used Instruments

We often have one or more used instruments
available for sale. As with our new oboes, we do
keep a waiting list for prospective buyers -
however, the wait tends to be much shorter
(about 6-12 months on average), and
occasionally we may have an instrument
available for immediate sale. Please email or
call if you are interested.

Used Laubin oboes vary in price from about
$3000, for early models, up to $8000. Most of
the used oboes we have sold recently have
been in the $4000 to $6500 range. Used
English horns are also available occasionally,
and tend to sell in the $8000 to $13000 range.
Because used instruments are sold on
consignment, we do not renegotiate price. All
prices are set at what we believe is fair market
value, and are approved by the seller.

All of our used instruments have been
reconditioned in our shop, and returned to
original Laubin specifications. We cover all
used instruments with a one year warranty.

Selling an Instrument

We would be happy to help you sell your used
Laubin or Barre oboe or English horn. We take
a 10% commission on the sale, and we require
that the seller pay for any repairs we find to be
necessary to return the instrument to excellent
playing condition.
