Used Instruments For Sale
 |
Laubin oboes are made by hand, using the same tools and machines
used to make oboes for a century. They are made one at a time, and the parts are
individually hand-fit. This results in a very high level of precision and reliability, which
remains unmatched by instruments made with computer-controlled milling machines and standardized parts. The wood
is aged for at least ten years. The keys are heavily silver-plated and hand-burnished for
beauty and durability. A plastic resin sleeve in the upper joint helps to prevent cracking
and increase the life span of the oboe. The bore, undercutting, and tone-hole placement
have been perfected over eight decades. Our goal is to make your life as a musician easier; rather than worry
about the instrument, you can focus your attention on the music.
